Hailed as one of the nation’s most exciting tribute bands, the award-winning Chris Collins & Boulder Canyon present a tribute to the music and legacy of John Denver in a special concert event! With similarities between Collins’ and John’s voices, he brings to the stage the unmistakable enthusiasm that was a hallmark of a John Denver concert. Performing John Denver’s famous hits such as Rocky Mountain High, Take Me Home Country Roads, Annie’s Song, and many more, Chris Collins & Boulder Canyon are committed to keeping the music and message of John Denver alive.

Breakfast with Santa

Ho, ho, ho! People of all ages enjoy visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus while we cruise the Ohio River on the riverboat Spirit of Jefferson! While the holiday festivities are in full force, relax a little and let us take care of the details. A delicious buffet breakfast will be served, and a DJ will play music. Christmastide 1816 at Locust Grove

Enter the year 1816. The Clark & Croghan family invites you into their home to partake of holiday cheer. The home is decorated in all manner appropriate for the "country seat" of Major William Croghan and his distinguished relatives and guests. In the great parlor, dancing and music await. Meanwhile, out in the Visitors' Center refreshments and family centered activities take place.

Eddie Miles presents "A Salute to Elvis & Country Legends"

Glenn Miller Orchestra

The legend lives on as this 19 member band continues to play the original Miller arrangements. Enjoy a special dessert matinee or evening concert with dinner.

Holiday Card Factory

Make reservations by noon, December 4 Visit the museum to learn how people who are blind and visually impaired "see" with their fingertips. Then craft your own tactile ornament to decorate your home for the holidays. Make unique holiday cards as well. For adults and children age 5 and up.

It ranges from trees decorated as they would be in countries that observe Christmas, to cultural displays showcasing other holidays observed around the globe throughout the year.

Hometown History Series: 100 Years of Doe Anderson

River City, Derby City, Falls City, the ‘Ville – no matter what you call it, Louisville, Kentucky is a city amazingly rich in history and culture. This series of exhibitions seeks to explore the diverse region, helping visitors discover the story of our own home town. Hometown History Series’ inaugural exhibition will celebrate 100 years of Doe Anderson and its award-winning work for local, regional and national clients.


This Broadway musical hits the stage with an epic and modern fairytale about wishes, family, and the choices we make. An enchanting and wickedly witty Tony Award-winning musical featuring a score written by Stephen Sondheim.


Based on the popular movie, this timeless classic is full of dancing, laughter, and some of the best songs ever written. A holiday musical comedy that is sure to be one of the highlights of your Christmas season!

Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park

Experience the 56th Season of FREE Shakespeare in Central Park! Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Central Park offers opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy the works of Shakespeare in the beautiful outdoor setting of Old Louisville's Central Park. Enjoy food from the Louisville Food Truck Association, drinks from Brown-Forman, and live pre-show entertainment, nightly.

KY Science Center Science In Play!

Official public opening! Introducing Science in Play – a progressive, next-generation learning experience for young kids and their families. Rich in loose parts and open-ended play, kids and adults are empowered to learn together and for life. We are combating the state’s school readiness statistics with a keen focus on 21st century learning skills – All through the power of play. In July 2015, a permanent Science in Play will open – a Science in Play that you’ve helped shape. Some of today’s components will be back, but updated with new attributes or elements, like build-your-own-roller coasters. Other popular pilot experiences – like the Shapes & Stuff Store – will surprise and delight you in their “all grown up” installation. And there will be plenty of new things too, including the 14 foot tall Happy Climber to foster gross motor climbing skills, a larger and interactive infant area, a color & light zone and more.


A fabulously fun musical based on the hit movie! Follow the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal, in pursuit of her dreams.

Light Up Corydon

Kick off the Christmas Holiday season in Historic Corydon, start a new holiday traditional with your family and friends in.  The day kicks off at noon with the Merchants Open House and voting on window display and free carriage rides.  Register for a cash drawing from WKLO 96.9 and register for a Shopping Spree from our local merchants.  There will be gingerbread house displays, a live nativity, entertainment on the bandstand, Christmas readings, Santa's arrival, the lights switched on and much more.  For times and complete schedule please visit our website at:

Light Up Corydon Wine Tasting

You are invited to our free Light Up Corydon Wine Tasting Event on Saturday, November 28th in conjunction with Light Up Corydon.  Come and enjoy samples featuring some of our most popular wines.  Must be 21 or over with a valid ID.

Light Up Louisville Cruise

f you're thinking a late night river cruise would be something unique to do, or if you've been to the Light Up Louisville festivities on Main Street and are looking for a way to continue the party, come on down to the riverboat Spirit of Jefferson and join in the fun! The concession stand and bar will both be open, and a DJ will provide a variety of music. With two enclosed decks, she is a boat for all seasons. Call for information or to make a reservation, or purchase tickets on line. (Space is limited and this cruise does sell out. Make your plans early!) Please note that the lights from Light-Up Louisville cannot be seen from the river. However, the normal waterfront lights reflecting off the river are quite lovely, and well worth a reason for enjoying a moonlight boat ride on the Ohio River. Tickets (all ages): $17 per person
