IT IS HONORING THE ATHLETES THAT CONTROL THE REINS
"Gallop to Glory" was created in 2005 to honor the winning jockeys of the Kentucky Derby. Similar to Hollywood's "Walk of Fame," all living Kentucky Derby-winning jockeys have been invited to preserve their handprints and signatures, which have been placed at the main entrance of the Galt House Hotel SUITE Tower. Each year, the handprints of the newest Derby-winning rider will be added. The Galt House Hotel commissioned Craig Kaviar to design unique roses, made of steel, for each jockey's installation.
