Thunder Over Louisville is not only the official opening ceremonies for the two fun-filled weeks of the Kentucky Derby Festival, it is also North America's largest annual fireworks show and an incredible air show!

Thunder packages include six (6) wristbands, and one (1) parking pass. An additional two (2) wristbands per guestroom may be purchased at a cost of $50.00 each.  All guests, including children who are walking, are required to wear wristbands to have hotel access.

To inquire about upgrading your non-view Thunder Package to a view room package, please call 1-800-843-4258 or 502-589-5200. Guests who have stayed in view rooms the previous year have first option to reserve their view room for Thunder Over Louisville 2014 up to June 30, 2013.  Those who desire a view room must reserve a non-view room and call to request to be placed onto the view room wait list. The Galt House Hotel will contact people on the wait list based on the date which the non-view room was reserved. 

All Thunder Over Louisville reservations require full prepayment of room(s). Any cancellation must be received by February 1, 2014 to receive a total refund. After February 1, 2014, all prepayments will be non-refundable. All online reservations are considered non-view rooms only.
