Christmas at the Galt House Hotel is an event where families make holiday memories of magic and wonder. 2014 marks the fifth year for the event, and will bring many changes to all parts of the holiday extravaganza. The 2014 KaLightoscope Christmas event will feature a new theme: A Christmas Carol. It will still include guest favorites like the larger-than-life handcrafted KaLightoscope luminaries, the Snow Fairy Princess and her Castle, and Ernie the Engineer and the Peppermint Express Kiddie Train. Guests can expect more technology and even more interaction throughout KaLightoscope Christmas, including live actors, which will run November 15, 2014 through January 1, 2015. Also new is Pam Tillis & Friends: A Kentucky Christmas Dinner Show. This event will feature some traditional Christmas songs, as well as some of Tillis’ favorites with performances November 15 through December 13, 2014.  Christmas at the Galt House Hotel also includes Sing ‘n’ Joy International Choral Festival and Competition November 28-30, 2014, which will bring choirs from around the globe to Louisville, Kentucky. For more information, visit ChristmasAtTheGaltHouse.com.

Sing 'n' Joy International Choral Festival and Competition
November 28 - 30, 2014


Community members and guests have a unique opportunity to take in the passion and commitment these choirs exude and to experience the entertainment and cultural value choirs bring with them from across the globe.  Choirs will be performing traditional songs from their home countries, as well as classics, holiday songs and everything in between.  This first year, some 20 choirs are expected, including some from South America and Asia.  Spectators can watch choirs at Friendship Concerts and on the Festival Stage.  Some of the concerts are free to the public and some are ticketed.

The Belle of Louisville's 100th Birthday Bash

Nine historic riverboats will provide the backdrop as Louisville plays host to a six-day festival ofrt, bourbon, musi and culture at the internationally-acclaimed Waterfront Park.  Experience history, first-hand, as we celebrate the Belle's Big Birthday Bash and enjoy all that life on the river has to offer.
