American Council of the Blind Again Headed To The Galt House

Annual National Convention Returns to Louisville for the Third Time

The Galt House Hotel & Suites is proud to serve as host hotel for 47th annual gathering of the American Council of the Blind. Having hosted the convention twice prior (1980 and 2000), this year’s annual meeting of the Washington D.C.-based group anticipates attendance to number more than 2,000. Various seminars, speakers, exhibitions and more are highlights planned for the Louisville convention. Gathering at the Galt House Friday, July 4th through July 12th, the group will convene at the start of a holiday weekend that is typically a very quiet timeframe for most in the hospitality industry. “When many convention hotels are quiet during the July 4th holiday,” said Lisa Haller, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, “we are pleased to welcome back the American Council of the Blind.” Louisville seems to be a good home for the convention, which has already booked Galt House for a 4th visit come 2012.
